Venue

The workshops and the Swing Ball will both be held at Henley on Thames Town Hall,
Market Place, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, RG9 2AQ (http://www.multimap.com/s/te9aKQ43). Doors will open at 9.30 for Registration.

The Town Hall is about 10 minutes walk from Henley on Thames railway station.

There is a car park just off of the Market Square, where the Town Hall is situated, to the left of the Town Hall as you look at it., but I believe the parking here is limited to a couple of hours. Your best bet if travelling by car is either the long-term car park at the Station or the one off Goodall Close (see map).

Workshops

The first workshop in the Waltz will begin promptly at 10.00 am. We will take a short break sometime during the morning and break for lunch at around 12.30 pm. The second workshop in the Quickstep will start at 2.00 pm and finish around 5.00 pm with another break sometime during the afternoon.

Both workshops will be taught by Brian and Sue Anthony.

Suggested footwear is a dress shoe for guys and a shoe with a slight heel for girls.

Food

As there are so many lovely eating places within a very short distance of the Town Hall, we are not supplying lunch, but we will have drinks and snacks for the break times.

Swing Ball

The Ball will start at 8.00 pm and finish at 11.30 pm

We will be playing a mixture of ballroom and swing tunes so we can practise what we’ve learned during the day alongside our regular swing dancing. Non- alcoholic cocktails and snacks will be provided free at the dance. Please feel free to “dress to impress”

Henley Town Council requires every event held at the Town Hall to have doormen. Ours will be provided with the names of those attending, so please give them your names on arrival and they will check you off.
